Storytelling: Shannon Lynch

True crime is one of the most popular podcast genres, often because of the gruesome details. One woman, however, chose to tell a true crime story focused on justice rather than dramatic detail. In her podcast, The Alley: DC’s 8th and H Case, Shannon Lynch explores the deeply flawed criminal justice system and the challenges that face people after incarceration.

Shannon Lynch is an accomplished podcast producer and audio engineer. She founded the nonprofit, SheVotes, which helps young women become registered, informed, and responsible voters. I was thrilled to talk to Shannon, and I hope to use the tips and tricks I learned from her to hone my own podcasting skills.
